The Words of The Wise

The Words Of The Wise

The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd. Ecclesiastes 12:11 (KJV)

The, רבד dabar, saying, or utterance of the, םכח chakam, ethically and religiously wise man are as, ןוברד dorbown, goads, and as, הרמ מ masm rah, nails, עטנ nata’, fastened, planted, or established by the, לעב ba’al, owner, husband, lord or master of, הפסא ‘acuppah, assemblies or collections, ןתנ nathan, given, entrusted to, bestowed upon, from, דחא ‘echad, one, the first, הער ra’ah, Shepherd or Pastor.

The wise recognize the Lord God Almighty while the fool resists acknowledging His very existence.

Psalm 14:1 (AMP) THE [empty-headed] fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable deeds; there is none that does good or right.

When the wise speak they speak the Word of God in faith believing. They speak words that are established throughout eternity; “fastened, planted, or established,” by God Himself. Jesus said,

Matthew 24:35 (KJV) Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. [Mark 13:31; Luk. 21:23]

God has given gifts to men for the purpose of goading, nailing, and fastening the words of the Good Shepherd into mankind.

Ephesians 4:11-13 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

We who proclaim the good news proclaim the words entrusted to us from Jesus, the first, הער ra’ah, Shepherd or Pastor.
