God wants you to draw close to Him and enter into intimate fellowship with Him. He wants you to receive Him as your Father as He receives you as a son in Christ Jesus.
Strength and Peace
Psalm 29:11 (KJV) The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
Allow me to sound the depths of this verse by looking at the meanings of the original language:
יהוה Y hovah, The Existing One will, ןתנ nathan, bestow, produce, or entrust, זע ‘oz or (fully) זוע ‘owz, material, physical, personal, social, and political might and strength םע ‘am, those who are His own people or kinsmen; יהוה Y hovah, The Existing One will, ךרב barak, bless םע ‘am, those who are His own people or kinsmen with םול shalowm or םל shalom, completeness, soundness, welfare, and peace (quietness, tranquillity, and contentment) that includes safety, health, and prosperity in both human relationships and in covenant relationship with God.
Too many verses of scripture are wrested out of context and understood (or should I say, misunderstood) to apply to all mankind. This is simply not so. The precious promises, each of which is ‘yes’ and ‘amen’ belong to those who are in covenant relationship with the One True God and made to be His ‘kinsmen.’
A kinsman is one who has a blood relationship with an individual. Boaz was a kinsman to Naomi, etc.. In Christ, you are made to be the Messiah’s kinsman. He is your Kinsman Redeemer.
Your relationship with יהוה Y hovah, The Existing One in Christ Jesus gives you the right to every promise in the Bible and, according to our verse for today, God’s promise of the totality of all that םול shalowm or םל shalom includes.
You see, when you are His, you can cast all your care upon Him for He really does care for you.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
