Limiting God

Limiting God

Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. Psalms 78:41 (KJV)

Can God be limited?

Oh, Yes. You can be assured that the Sovereign, Himself, has limited Himself by our attitudes and actions.

Our attitude must be one of a believer. You may say, “I believe in Jesus.” That’s great! It is just not enough.

Do you believe that Jesus died to provide you with total acceptance by the Father. Do you believe that Jesus brought you into the family of God? Do you believe, then, that, in Christ, you are the adopted child of God? Do you believe that you have all the rights and privileges of a son? Do you believe that every resource of heaven is at your disposal. Do you believe that God is for you and not against you? – All the time? If not, then you are limiting what God will do.

But, if you are a believer then you will be a speaker.

2 Corinthians 4:13 (KJV) We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

What will you speak? You will speak what God says in His Word.

You will speak of what is promised. You will speak of being the Father’s child. You will speak as one who owns all that God owns. You will speak as one who does all that God does. You will speak as one whose home is in heaven. You will speak the Word of God.

In other words, you will speak what God speaks, having faith in God who is faithful to perform whatsoever you ask:

Mark 11:22-23 (KJV)22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
