Back To Normal?
Now that Christmas is over we can get back to normal. What, exactly, is “normal”? Have we been impacted by the Gift of God’s Son enough to question our “normal” life’s pursuits? Perhaps it’s time to reevaluate how we spend our time and what we focus on.
As I was reading 1 Chronicles 28 one evening I felt that wonderful quickening of the Word as concerns you.
King David was speaking to his son Solomon; giving direction and encouragement concerning the building of the temple. He revealed that every detail had been given by the direction of the Holy Spirit. (1)
You are the son of the King; one of the precious builders of that temple not made with hands. (2)
Take heed now; for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong and do it! (3)
This is the hour of the setting up of the pillars and the crowning of their heads with a covering of glory. The Spirit of the Living God is moving with great decisiveness across the face of the earth. He is gathering His people and sounding the trumpet call to assemble His tribes as He sets the battle in array.
Leaders are needed in great number. As you minister to, train, equip, anoint and release them into this great field of conflict, in the midst of overwhelming odds, the Lord will crown them with His wisdom and empower them with His own glorious anointing. They shall be strong and do exploits for they shall know their God. (4)
Be strong and courageous, and do it. Fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail or forsake you until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord. (5)
God is calling. Are you hearing? God is calling. Will you yield? God is calling. Give, Go, or Both. It’s time for action that corresponds with faith.
