Son of God

Son of God

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Ephesians 1:4 (KJV)

The only thing better than being a friend of God is being a child of God. This, Beloved, is exactly what God the Father has done in and through Christ Jesus. Now I enthusiastically sing, “I am a son of God, I am a son of God, I am a son of God, He calls me son.” Glory!

The love of God manifest in and through Jesus was not an afterthought to God. He chose, eklegomai , choose out for Himself out of many those to be peculiarly His own. Now, you are a part of a chosen generation. You are “called, and chosen, and faithful.”

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. Revelation 17:14 (KJV)

As God’s own children, by His choice, we “should be holy and without blame before him in love.” We should, by our life-style and our words, reveal to the world what it means to be a child of God and joint-heirs with Christ.

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Romans 8:17 (KJV)

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. Galatians 4:6-7 (KJV)
