Identification Determines Destiny

Identification Determines Destiny

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 (KJV)

Paul’s consciousness lies here. He had nothing to lose – He was crucified with Christ. You must understand who you are because identity determines destiny. Remember this: Identity Determines Destiny.

According to secular thought, we are shaped by (a. Genetic determinism, (b Psychological determinism, and/or (b Environmental determinism. In other words; where we came from genetically, what our psychological propensities are, or the environment we were born and raised in determines our destiny.

But, when you are born-again, Jesus gives a whole different identification and redetermines your destiny. We now live according to the Epistles. It has been said, “You are what you eat.” This is a great spiritual truth. You need to feed in, and be nourished by, the Epistles.
Romans, Chapter 5, tells us that: Adam made the mess (Genetic determinism) and then Christ fixed the mess (Creative determinism). Our destiny, as believers, is now determined by creative determinism.

When you were born-again, much like a CD, cassette tape or video tape, what was written on you was erased and a new Master was used to imprint information on (in) you. The life, nature and mind of Christ was superimposed upon you. Now, it is not you, but Christ that lives!

You are in Christ. You fight the good fight of faith and never enter the ring as contender. Now, you enter as the champion (Heb. 11:1). Victory is the substance and evidence of faith. Now, you are the son of God! God loves you exactly the same as He loves Jesus. You are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Cor. 5:21). The Old man was crucified (executed) (Rom. 6:6).

Agree with God and you will fulfill your destiny. It is the work of faith. “The life I now live, I live by faith.”

Nothing can have dominion over you when you are in Christ!
