Adoption

Adoption

Ephesians 1:5 (KJV) 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Ephesians 1:5 (AMP) 5 For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [because it pleased Him and was His kind intent]-

One of the most misunderstood truths found in the New Testament is that of being an adopted child of God. Beloved, until we understand our position in God, we will never understand our authority in God.

I was an adopted child. I understand the concept and the beauty of the relationship between an adopted child and the adoptive parent. To adopt is to take into one’s family through legal means and raise as one’s own child. We must understand that God has taken you into his family through legal means. Satan took control of humanity through legal means and the Christ of God, Jesus of Nazareth, adopted us by the legal means of the sacrifice of the Spotless Lamb of God and His shed Blood! God, Himself, will now raise you as His very own child!

Adoption is the act of accepting with approval. It is a favorable reception; a close affectionate and protective acceptance. In other words, God receives you, accepts you and has a close and protective concern for you because Christ has brought you into “the bosom of the family.” Adoption consists of both blessing and the formal act of approving. So, God has formally approved of you and is intent on blessing you. This was planned by Him before the foundation of the world.

Ephesians 1:5 (AMP) 5 For He foreordained us (destined us, planned in love for us) to be adopted (revealed) as His own children through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of His will [because it pleased Him and was His kind intent]-

Adoption is a legal proceeding that creates a parent-child relation between persons not related by blood; the adopted child is entitled to all privileges belonging to a natural child of the adoptive parents (including the right to inherit). The awesome thing is that, in Christ, our blood-line has changed and now we are related by The Blood.

Any time you feel like you don’t belong or you are all alone. Consider the great truth of your adoption.
